  1. WHAT ARE COOKIES?

Cookies are small text files placed on your device (computer, tablet, or smartphone) when you visit a website. Cookies set by the website you are visiting are called first-party cookies. Cookies set by other parties (such as analytics or advertising providers) are called third-party cookies.

In addition to cookies, we may use similar technologies such as web beacons (pixel tags), local storage, and session storage. For simplicity, we refer to all of these collectively as “cookies” throughout this Policy.

  • Strictly Necessary cookies: Used on the basis of our legitimate interest (and yours) in providing a functional, secure website. No consent required.
  • Functional cookies: Used on the basis of legitimate interest. You may disable them in your browser settings.

  1. YOUR COOKIE CHOICES & CONSENT

5.1  Cookie Consent Banner

When you first visit our Sites, you will be presented with a cookie consent banner. You can accept all cookies, accept only strictly necessary cookies, or customize your preferences by category. Your choice is saved and applied across your visits. You can change your preferences at any time.

5.2  Withdrawing or Changing Consent

You may update your cookie preferences at any time by clicking the ‘Cookie Settings’ link in the footer of our website. Withdrawing consent does not affect the lawfulness of any processing based on consent before it was withdrawn.

5.3  Browser-Level Cookie Controls

Most web browsers allow you to control cookies through browser settings. You can typically: view cookies stored on your device; delete all or specific cookies; block third-party cookies; and set your browser to notify you when a cookie is being set. Note that blocking all cookies may impair your ability to use the LMS and some features of the Sites.

Browser-specific guidance:

  • Google Chrome: Settings > Privacy and Security > Cookies and other site data
  • Mozilla Firefox: Settings > Privacy & Security > Cookies and Site Data
  • Apple Safari: Preferences > Privacy > Manage Website Data
  • Microsoft Edge: Settings > Privacy, search, and services > Cookies

5.4  Opt-Out of Analytics

To opt out of Google Analytics tracking specifically, you can install the Google Analytics Opt-Out Browser Add-on available at: tools.google.com/dlpage/gaoptout.

5.5  Do Not Track

Some browsers transmit “Do Not Track” (DNT) signals. Because there is no industry-standard interpretation of DNT signals, our Sites do not currently alter their behavior in response to DNT signals. However, you can use the controls described above to manage your preferences.

  1. CALIFORNIA RESIDENTS — CCPA/CPRA

Under the California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA) and California Privacy Rights Act (CPRA), California residents have specific rights regarding personal information collected through cookies and tracking technologies:

•       Right to Opt-Out of Sale/Sharing: We do not sell personal information collected via cookies. If we share personal information with third parties for cross-context behavioral advertising, California residents have the right to opt out. Marketing/retargeting cookies may constitute “sharing” under CPRA. Use our Cookie Settings or the opt-out links in Section 5 to exercise this right.

•       Right to Limit Sensitive Data Use: We do not use sensitive personal information collected through cookies for purposes beyond those necessary to provide the Service.

•       Non-Discrimination: You will not receive discriminatory treatment for exercising your CCPA/CPRA rights.

•       We maintain records of your consent (timestamp and selected preferences) as required by GDPR Article 7.

•       International data transfers to third-party providers (e.g., Google, Meta) outside the EEA are subject to Standard Contractual Clauses (SCCs) or other appropriate safeguards.

•       You have the right to lodge a complaint about our cookie practices with your national data protection authority (DPA).
